Ensure an end-to-end multimodal delivery of bulk chemical raw materials from Dalian Port (China) to the client’s production sites and customer facilities in Russia and Belarus.
The operational scope included ocean freight, transshipment at the Port of Saint Petersburg, customs clearance, and inland transportation. The total shipment volume amounted to approximately 10,000 tons.
An additional challenge was to maintain supply chain stability under changing client priorities, logistical constraints, and external influencing factors.
The NOYTECH team provided end-to-end operational control of the shipment, managing the process from ocean freight coordination through to final delivery at production sites.
During execution, the project required highly flexible management due to multiple dynamic factors. Shipment volumes and recipient lists were frequently adjusted, requiring continuous recalibration of dispatch schedules and cargo allocation.
Additional complexity arose during port handling operations. A change in the discharge berth led to extended vessel processing and customs clearance times. At the same time, cargo safety risks increased due to altered storage conditions and additional handling.
A further challenge was limited information exchange between supply chain participants. The lack of real-time data on warehouse readiness and unloading points complicated outbound planning and increased transport turnaround times.
The project also had to account for external constraints, including sanctions-related restrictions affecting the ability to deliver cargo to certain recipients.
To ensure supply chain resilience, the NOYTECH team shifted to a real-time operational control model with continuous synchronization across all stakeholders.
A flexible dispatch schedule was developed based on the client’s evolving priorities and the actual readiness of warehouse infrastructure. Operational decisions were made to adjust unloading schemes and organize temporary storage, minimizing vessel idle time and reducing pressure on port infrastructure.
To mitigate loss risks, part of the cargo was redirected to backup storage facilities, and alternative transportation routes and delivery methods were developed, including solutions for restricted recipients.
In addition, the team conducted an analysis of operational incidents and prepared recommendations to improve logistics processes and reduce future costs.
