Major Russian Brand of Clothing, Footwear, and Accessories

Tasks

The company was looking for a logistics optimization solution that would include an independent warehouse in China for consolidating goods and allow the flexibility to choose different carriers for further delivery. Previously, each carrier handled the entire transportation cycle, limiting flexibility and complicating supply chain management.

What was done

NOYTECH developed a unique solution for a major Russian manufacturer of clothing, footwear, and accessories, which adapts runway fashion for the mass market. In 2022 NOYTECH specialists were tasked with creating a logistics model that enabled the client to have a single independent warehouse in China for consolidating goods. This setup allowed the company to select carriers based on its needs and available options.

The organization of the process involved several complex challenges. First, NOYTECH had to integrate its systems with the client’s and train its Chinese agents to work within this system. This required configuring software for real-time data exchange on warehouse stock, ensuring transparency and efficiency in logistics management.

One key aspect was providing flexibility in carrier selection. The client had multiple supplier locations—80% in Shanghai and 20% in Shenzhen. NOYTECH created a system that allowed the company to quickly switch between different transportation methods, such as air or road transport, depending on urgency and carrier availability. This adaptability helped prevent delays and adjust to changing conditions.

Quality control was another critical factor. NOYTECH implemented a system for verifying product compliance with documentation, including DataMatrix code checks for problematic shipments. In cases of incorrect labeling, specialists manually applied or corrected DataMatrix codes, requiring precision and coordination.

Establishing a unified hub in Shanghai to receive and consolidate goods from over 100 suppliers was also a significant challenge. This required careful planning and warehouse management to ensure accurate tracking and reporting. As a result, the client’s employees could efficiently monitor shipment statuses.

This solution allowed the company to consolidate goods at an independent warehouse in China and choose carriers as needed. The collaboration improved the flexibility and efficiency of the supply chain, positively impacting the client’s business processes.

Result

The partnership with NOYTECH significantly streamlined and enhanced the client’s logistics processes:

  • All products are consolidated in a single warehouse in Shanghai, allowing for efficient management of large volumes from multiple suppliers.
  • The company gained the flexibility to switch carriers as needed without wasting time and resources on transferring goods between warehouses.
  • The implementation of a quality control system and integration with the client’s system ensured transparency and real-time logistics management.
  • The new solution is expected to handle over 500,000 boxes between December 2024 and December 2025.
